Same here, but mine shipped a couple of days ago from them! I wouldn't doubt if you received yours first though, as weird as the postal stream usually is. It was actually much cheaper shipped than the House I/II US set, especially since I ordered it in a larger order when Amazon UK had that £10 off £50 promo day not too long ago. Here are screen comparisons of House with the old Anchor Bay DVD: http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=10039&d2=10040&c=4030
Popped in both House and House II and the transfers look great . After taking a glance I watched the docs on both films. The one for House runs 66 minutes and House II runs for 57 minutes. Both are informative and entertaining as hell.
It is currently cheaper to buy the 4-film set off Amazon UK (with shipping and exchange) than it is to buy the 2-film set off Amazon.ca... ~Matt
My Zaavi order of the UK House set shipped! The fact that both cuts of House III are included and that III and IV have so far been confirmed region free, I had to! The only downside is a person who already got the set confirmed the DVD copies are PAL. Yeah, I know; UK, not surprising, but it's just I thought Arrow's DVD releases/copies would be NTSC since they set up in America. PS. the DVD copies of the first 2 films are also encoded for region 1, not sure about the other 2.
Really looking forward to receiving my House UK set. Until recently, amazon.co.uk shipments arrived in about a week. But lately they've been taking longer...my recent purchases have all taken around 3 weeks to arrive. So I might have to wait a while for the House shipment.
Caps-A-Holic comparison between the Arrow Blu-ray and Anchor Bay DVD of the first House film: http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=10039&d2=10040&c=4030 Not only clearly improved picture/detail, but a good 20% more picture information in the frame too.
Caps-A-Holic comparison between the Arrow Blu-ray and Anchor Bay DVD of the House II: The Second Story: http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=10041&d2=10042&c=4031 Just like the first film, there's a good percentage more picture information on the Blu-ray compared to the DVD.
My indie store got in the two stories set gonna get that on April 11 release date and birthday also bye bye man unrated bluray comes out same day too
There are some scenes those where some equipment and is available including crew members like a boom mike operator: http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=10039&d2=10040&s1=97704&s2=97703&i=6&l=0&a=1 http://caps-a-holic.com/c.php?d1=10039&d2=10040&s1=97704&s2=97703&i=6&l=0&a=1 I'm with you guys though, I'm all for extra picture.
Omg I know. People saying they're not buying the new Phantasm set because they didn't do a new transfer of part 2. Even went as far as to say "what's the point?" Like wtf? Okay. Don't buy it. Nobody is making you. ~Matt
That's definitely more of an issue and pretty much proves there's a framing problem as you don't see that arm in the DVD screen. Apart from that I like the extra picture and wonder how noticeable some crew limbs would be once in motion.
After reading all the shit about them, I wouldn't bother going to the site. Christ, they should be glad that a nice set of Phantasm is being released. I know I am.
They seem to like that set more but some have claimed to not want either now due to Part 2 being the same old scan.
There's a good 2 pages of people complaining that Arrow used blue cases for their UK House collection. I think the clear ones do look better, but who cares? Switch it out if you care that much. I'm on that forum pretty much daily because there's a lot of good info on upcoming releases, but some of those guys are a bit nuts.
