I've never heard of ISLAND OF DEATH, but that trailer is insane!!! I'll definitely keep an eye out for one of Arrow's sales.
I like Island of Death, but did not love it. I did own the old Arrow Region 2 release and sold it just because. That being said, I would maybe by the blu the next time they have a sale. It is kind of cool. Perversely violent enough
Same here. I kept planning to buy it, but just never did. I'll definitely pick up the Blu-ray though as I'm a Mastorakis fan...even though this film is very different than his later output. Also very good news that Society is still coming! If it used the same transfer as the German Blu-ray, it'll look amazing.
I was just complaining to a friend today about there not being a domestic Society blu-ray. This is the best horror news of the year for me.
Arrow's US distributor seems to have leaked the June release schedule for the US. So far every release they have announced I already own on blu. Hope they announce something I don't have or own eventually.
Contamination rocks! I was beginning to think Arrow was abandoning these types of films so very happy to be wrong about that. I already have the German Society BD but will gladly upgrade my Contamination DVD
Yea so far it seems pretty dumb as their prices are so high. It's definitely cheaper to import from the UK, especially when their prices start dropping nice and low.
Their UK Blu of Spider Baby is already region free. All you have to do is hit the top menu button on your remote. Movie and ALL extras play. Why are they re-releasing this? Re-release shit that is region locked. Deranged for example.
North American rights for Deranged are with Kino Lorber, they've already announced their own disc for July 7th
Presenting the first review for one of Arrow's first US Blu-rays!!!!: http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Day-of-Anger-Blu-ray/114342/#Review
Sounds real good, I have the old Wild East edition and it should easily blow that edition out of the water. Can't wait to see it in Hi-Def.

Branded as a “video nasty” in the UK, director Luigi Cozzi’s Contamination takes the premise of Ridley Scott’s classic Alien and peppers it with exploding guts galore and a dangerously infectious soundtrack from celebrated Italian prog-rockers Goblin (Deep Red, Suspiria). A cargo ship drifts up the Hudson River. Its crew: dead, their bodies horribly mutilated, turned inside out by an unknown force. Its freight: boxes upon boxes of glowing, pulsating green eggs. It soon becomes clear that these eggs are not of this planet, and someone intends to cultivate them here on Earth. But who? And to what end? Starring Italian horror veteran Ian McCulloch (Zombie Flesh Eaters), Contamination is an ultra-violent sci-fi epic that really gets under the skin. In space, no one can hear you scream – but on Earth, the terror rings loud and clear!
