Good news for Over the Edge fans in "A" or "C" region limbo:
I just received this email from Arrow.
Important information regarding your Demons order | View in browser
Hi Arrow customer,
Thank you so much for buying DEMONS directly from us, we hope you’ve been enjoying it as much as we enjoyed putting it together.
Unfortunately, it has come to our attention that the soundtrack for the US theatrical cut of DEMONS contains an error. At around the 62-minute mark, the audio incorrectly reverts to the separate international English soundtrack for approximately 12 minutes. We understand that this is disappointing for fans who were looking forward to experiencing this distinct version of the film in the form in which it was originally shown in US cinemas in 1985. We have corrected the issue and we now have replacement discs ready to send out.
Please note that this affects both the UHD and Blu-ray versions of the title (catalogue numbers FCD2035 and FCD2090) and only affects the DEMONS disc in the set, there is no replacement needed for the DEMONS 2 disc.
There’s nothing further you need to do as we will be automatically sending out the disc to the address on your order but please contact us at email@example.com as soon as possible if you require the new disc to be sent to a different address.
We look forward to you getting to watch the release as it was intended very soon. Thank you for your understanding and continued support, a social post and article on this will be published in the coming days.
It'd been on my self for a few months but I just finished going through the Solid Metal Nightmares: The Films of Shin'ya Tsukamoto box set and I gotta say it's been an extremely rewarding experience. I'd only initially seen Tetsuo: The Iron Man and Kotoko, and back when I originally saw them neither really stayed in my memory, but upon revisiting them, as well as the rest of the films in the set, wow was I ever blown away! Tsukomoto is an insanely talented auteur filmmaker and the caliber of each film in this set exceeded my expectations and I found myself hungry for the next film after each watch. Add a wealth of great interviews with Tsukomoto himself throughout the set, and all the essays in the book that accompanies it, make this one of the best filmmaker box sets out there for quality content and one of my favourite Arrow releases. I have to admit I did not have much drive going in as my recollections weren't great, but these films have all aged well and I was at the right moment to fully appreciate them. Tsukamoto has quickly become a new favourite filmmaker, and I can't wait to check out his other works not included in this box set.
Thanks - I got mine through Zavvi so Ill email Arrow and see if they can send me a replacement as well.
I did the same, and they emailed me back confirming they will send out replacements if you purchased from Zavvi or elsewhere besides direct from Arrow.
This is the link on their website now with all relevant info: https://arrowfilms.com/news/demons-replacement-programme/

Switchblade Sisters Blu-ray review: http://www.rockshockpop.com/forums/content.php?8827-Switchblade-Sisters-(Arrow-Video)-Blu-ray-Review
No definite confirmation if it's the same transfer as the old Subkultur Blu-ray, but judging from the screenshots in that review it looks like it probably is... which isn't a bad thing at all, as it already looked great.
"Arte Originale Limited Edition" Bird with the Crystal Plumage Limited Edition UHD
Limited to 1,000, but may be dual territories... so possibly 2,000 total? It looks like the Slipbox, Cover artwork, Disc artwork are all different than the normal retail edition. The poster is doubled-sided anyway, so I would guess that's just the flip side.
Id like to have the more limited version but I kinda like the art on the first version better initially
Yeah, I really prefer the standard LE too.
I have only seen A Snake of June a few years back but remember liking it. Not sure enough to spring the expense of the box set - but those other movies sound pretty wild and different. Which is your favorite in the boxset?
Okay - thanks for posting. I guess I'll get two different but equal versions of this classic film
The Demons replacement disc arrived today. Arrow shipped them in a CD case for protection. Kudos to Arrow for automatically taking care of this issue.
Just make sure they sent the right ones. Most people who got the UHD are reporting that they were sent the Blu-ray as replacement, and vice versa those who bought the Blu-ray set are getting the UHD disc replacement. Arrow acknowledged the error and are sending out correct ones though.
