The Japanese LD (titled Return of..) is uncut.
There are two versions of TCM 4 with the chainsaw lipstick. The Sony DVD is the same version we've all seen. They later re-released it with the faces cover art. Both of those releases have flipper discs. The uncut version came out from Lionsgate and the disc has artwork. The picture of "Divine" Leatherface looks larger on the back of the uncut DVD.
Right, thank you - it's been a while
I came across this gem - I guess Rene Zellweger is no longer mum about her role in Texas Chainsaw: Next Generation.
I love everything about the first 4 Chainsaw films. This really needs a BD release with both cuts, and Brian Huberman's Documentary. I know Arrow tried to get Leatherface AND Next Gen but they couldn't - not sure if it was down to money or something else. Maybe Scream Factory will pick this one up...?
True. It IS Open Matte though.
Arrow would never get leatherface, it's new line so now owned by warner, not sure why they could not get part 4 hope they can for the people who like it, for me it's fucking awful, I never want to see that turd again.
In the US it's Warner. In the UK I think EIV has it.... but when I spoke to Arrow they just said they tried to get it but couldn't.
I forgot it was EIV in UK, maybe they no longer have the rights and it's back with warner, that is a shame an arrow release of this would have been awesome!
Me too. I actually didn't think Next Generation was all that bad. The portrayal of Leatherface in that film was interesting to say the least.
Man I cannot stand TCM 4. It's rare I hate a film with such a passion but that film has little to nothing enjoyable about it.
Kim Henkel should be ashamed.
I'm not a huge fan of the final look Leatherface sports, but Next Gen at least has the insane bickering family dynamic which was lost in latter films.
That was really cool.......still a piece of shit film, but really cool story nevertheless lol
Really cool story. Nice to see big name actors talk about horror films they were in before their careers kicked off.
A shame he couldn't have talked about this for the Scream Factory blu-ray
