Agreed. Their business tactics and public relations are pretty much the lowest of any label/studio I can even think of. Code Red chose to go to bed with them, and now you really cannot separate the two either.

Also, what about all the vinegar syndrome bashing on their FB page? They definitely did not help themselves with that thread carrying on.

Kill your Facebook, and any other social media pages, and just keep your Web store open. How about that? Pretty easy.

I know that, on blu-ray.com where Dave from DF posts frequently, VS is often used as the counter-argument to DF's exploitative business practices. Also, since Code Red sells through DF now, there's a fairly common lament there regarding any OOP or purposefully-hard-to-get Code Red title that VS would have been a better label to release it. Dark Force might face the same sort of comparisons on FB.

In short, it's performance envy. :D

Yes, bash VS. That makes sense. Sure, why not attack a vastly superior company.

Disgraceful. What an embarrassment. Truly cringe-worthy. I think I went down a shoe size or two just reading that.

Every other company out there focuses on the product. With him, it's all gimmickry, a lot of uselessly repetitive build-up posts, complaints about customers or other companies, and now this stunt. Do serious movie collectors really care about any of that shit? I always say that the company that gives me the best possible quality of the movie I want is the company that gets my money. It's that simple.

First, he states on FB that he's pulled the Ator release, based upon a non-existent connection to a real life tragedy (lame and in poor taste), and then he offers his entire stock of the movie for sale on FB. What's with all the smoke and mirrors? Not expecting the release to do well? Or is there an issue with it? Because even the most gullible Dark Force apologist ain't buying that cock-and-bull story.

They just seem to get even more lame. They could easily just announce their upcoming releases, or when they will be available, and then go quiet. Simply don't reply to comments on social media and don't make up these lame marketing strategies. This whole "Dark Strategy" business just sounds more like a toddler crying.

Well with any luck this will destroy them and Code Red and we can be done with all their cry baby bullshit, lies and often shitty releases.
Their whole attitude is a put off.

Good lord, the Dark Force and Code Red Facebook pages have reached max insanity.

I don’t care what they release, I’m out.

Then they had to announce Blue Monkey. Dam it. I really figured that would be great for Vinegar Syndrome.

    I gave up years ago.
These days they mostly release crap (so it's not a big loss), and the better stuff are usually released by labels over here in Europe, a few months later.

The sooner they close business, the sooner better labels, like Vinegar Syndrome, Severin etc, can get their hands on the licenses instead.

I never had any issue with how things went until they stated holding films hostage with these multi pack things. I’m legitimately too busy to figure out how to get their films.

My favourite thing on their post was, 'if you want to know when the next drive in title is out, GO TO THE STORE. and see if it's there'

If people don't know what's being released, how can they check when it's being released, you absolutely massive bag of fuck tards!!!

This little indie horror flick with a BUDGET of 300,000.00 became one of the TOP 50 GROSSING MOVIES OF 1975. The previous Blu-ray release was GARBAGE. We've teamed with producer/director BILL REBANE to fully restore this historical cult classic from the coveted original preserved 35mm camera negative!! The new huge Dark Force release will also feature an incredible "Collector's Edition" custom slipcover & exclusive featurette "The Giant Spider Rip-Off" with Bill ReBane detailing in his own words how he only made fifteen hundred dollars from this movie that has grossed more 30 million over the years in the US alone!!

Talk about two sides of the same coin...

Apparently, the Baron had a major falling out with VCI, this year, and has been going on and on about it since March.

Gotta be honest... Kinda tempted... I managed to pick up the Synergy release when Rebane made a similar deal of questionable legality. Would be an incomplete set without this new one.;)
