Recipe: just add a generous dose of cyan. There you go: richer and deeper. #Nostalgic Feel, #magic
Dark Force supposedly gave this response to the Dead Pit fracas on FB (fracas meaning the sadly standard 'store is hardly open/no purchasing limit kills individual sales/scalpers with tons of inventory' complaints:
"Dark Force is a business and just like any other business we are out to make money. We are certainly not doing this because we enjoy being trolled every day. The more people that buy multiple copies the less we have to ship out and the easier it is on us. If these releases are so huge that they can then turn them around and make money on them then they must be pretty good. But truthfully this kind of commotion only happens on certain big titles. At the end of the day everyone has to remember it's a real business."
Cool. Not interested ever again. I don’t need these movies. How’s that for a business lesson?
C'mon guys! This is the first thing you learn in business school. Always prioritize YOUR needs above the customer's.
I'd like to have Dead Pit AND Screams of a Winter Night--but not bad enough to purchase them from a dodgy vendor. I wonder how much money these clowns screwed themselves out of when they ditched Ronin?
NOW from Dark Force Entertainment and Code Red it's the YETI Collector's Edition LIMITED 2500 ultimate cult home video collectable that GLOWS in the DARK!
Stay tuned for exciting new details on this incredible new model Collector's Edition with all the upgrades!!
COMING THIS SUMMER from the home of the cult video collectables...Dark Force Entertainment!:
I sprang for the $99 Gold Bundle because I didn't own any of the movies except Nail Gun Massacre (which I own the 88 Films blu-ray, not the Code Red). I have been meaning to get God's Bloody Acre since it was released, but it's always so expensive. Considering Dead Pit alone was $35 and God's Bloody Acre was $23.95, this is a pretty decent deal for six blu-rays. There were also some additional Dead Pit goodies (original sell sheets) and even a little wire display stand.

Not a fan of his jump through hoops sales method, but I'm pretty happy with this purchase.
^^^Very nice, I"ve got my Dead Pit coming in the mail soon. Not a fan of these sales methods either but happy to get a copy
I received mine last week from them... I grabbed the bundle with Point Doom and Forced Entry. I'll just sell/trade off Forced Entry though, as I already had it.
They should have pressed in on a BD-50 given the price and the Interviews also on the disc. There's some definite compression anomalies at times. My guess is they wanted to squeeze as much as possible on a cheaper BD-25 pressing, and that's why they omitted some of the old bonus features from the 2-Disc DVD release. Bill owns the film outright, so it makes little sense otherwise why they were left off.
The store is open again (at this moment) with a few bundles available. I buckled and ordered the 2-pack with Point Doom.
...and it's open again. Breeders and Gates of Hell + Psycho from Texas double feature.
I'll pass at these prices. Breeders is pretty bad from what I remember of it. And with Gates of Hell, we know a better release from Scorpion is coming up.
I'd like to get Psycho from Texas, but hardly at this price... and who knows how it even compares to the old Code Red DVD transfer.
You remember correctly about Breeders. It sucks.
Someone at Blu-ray.com compared the Code Red DVD of Psycho from Texas to some screenshots from Facebook that were posted to show "extensive color correction" on this new Blu-ray.
Blu screenshots are on top.
Yeah I figured as much. I literally haven't seen it since renting the VHS when it first came out, but watching a trailer of it on YouTube certainly refreshes my memory of it.
Breeders is terrible.
There's also like 5 other movies with the same or similar titles. When this was announced, I thought it was Bleeders (1997). The one that had the bloodpack over the VHS cover.
This is pretty much what Code Red aka Dark Force has turned into: https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.php?p=16798463&postcount=8115
Of course they have deleted the post on Facebook by now, but this is why I literally feel the need to wash my hands when ordering from these yahoos. The Dead Pit was the last thing I ordered from them however, which was not even a very solid release, and it may be the last.
That is poor taste personified!
SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: DARK FORCE PULLING OUT OF ALL SOCIAL MEDIA:
Unfortunately the Dark Force Facebook page has become a breeding ground for Trolls only here to cause trouble and harass us. We will be terminating the Facebook page and our Instagram account (which was small anyway) before the end of the week. You can still contact us via email through the Dark Force website or the Superstore. Banana Man of Code Red will be handling any announcements on Dark Force titles and new releases with very brief posts with no theatrics on his pages. There will be no more LIVE FEEDS of any kind. We do wish to thank all the fans and supporters who have followed us on Facebook. We strongly feel at this time that these social media pages are no longer beneficial to the business and possibly detrimental. Banana Man will be taking over any remaining Dark Force social media on his platforms. As always the forces of darkness will always exist and always be strong.
^^ LOL, "As always the forces of darkness will always exist and always be strong."
Yeah...right, they're about as dark as a turd in the moonlight.
Dark Force has been a shitshow for quite some time already. The latest stunt attempting to use a mass shooting to market a couple films (one of which he directed) is truly scumbag marketing. A certain person needs to just go away and flex in front of some glow in the dark slipcovers without the live feeds on social media.
