Has anyone else noticed some of the creative framing for nude scenes on some of the Code Red blu-rays?

First noticed it on their Caged Men blu-ray. The DVD had an unmatted nude scene in the extra features, which is no longer necessary on the blu-ray because the scene on the hi-def transfer has now been framed lower to include the nudity.

Noticed it again last night watching the recently released Love Me Deadly blu-ray. The scene where
    Christopher Stone
is murdered and stripped by the cultists is now framed much more below the waist, putting lots of frontal nudity on display that wasn't visible on the DVD.

Not complaining (no need to flip out and pull the releases, Code Red). Just kind of a fun observation. I approve.

The Fifth Floor is coming from Code Red / Kino on 11/20.

There's a trailer from the 4K transfer on YouTube.

The Last Seduction is the same day.

How is Cannibal God? For perspective I like Holocaust, Ferox, Cut & Run, etc. Did not care for Eaten Alive.

I'm buying Grizzly, so if they have a combo deal where you buy both, I might consider.

Multicom, the film library that Code Red / Scorpion / Dark Force frequently raid, just added Party Line (1988) to Amazon Prime, featuring Leif Garrett as a serial killer in drag. I had thought this was an MGM title, but the rights must have changed hands.

Wouldn't be surprised if this was on the table for Code Red / Scorpion / Dark Force.

They also added the '90s remake of Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? to Amazon Prime (also from Multicom), which I've always been curious about due to scream queen Amy Steel being in the cast.

Party Line an MGM title? Genius Entertainment released the DVD back in 2007. Looks like the Amazon streaming version is just SD again though.

Ah, I didn't check the Prime stream. I had no idea there was a DVD release!

MGM has one of those tawdry '80s phone thrillers, I must be confusing it with one of those. Call Me (1988) was Vestron. Maybe I'm thinking of The Caller (1987), which MGM put on DVD-R? I'm drawing a blank.

I'm pretty sure The Incubus came from the Multicom catalog, so Vinegar Syndrome would probably be another possibility.

^^^ zbinks, do you know if Project: Kill is also an HD remaster, or just an SD or "raw scan" bonus? I don't really see any details about that in their item description.

I'm actually more interested in getting it for that than Cop Killers...

Still sounds vague, but I think this probably rules out an SD-upscale. If past is precedent, I'm expecting this to be a little on the raw side.

It sounds promising at least. All of the existing copies of the film out there look pretty poor.

Just have received the Cop Killers/ Project: Kill Double Feature.

After a quick skim, both transfers are definitely HD and the film elements are fairly clean and stable. Project: Kill looks a bit more grindhouse-y than Cop Killers, but certainly watchable.

But that's on the first release by Code Red too, correct? The only new stuff is the special features like you stated in an earlier post.

    http://www.mondo-digital.com/savagestreets.html

Almost two years later, the film finally made the jump to bona fide HD courtesy of a Blu-ray from Code Red, it appears to be derived from the same source but displays the expected boost in detail and color fidelity, with formerly tricky shades of rose and scarlet now popping out with a purity the SD predecessors couldn't handle. The DTS-HD audio is presented in both standard theatrical mono and a punchy 5.1 remix, which should come as a nice treat to fans of the film's gloriously '80s soundtrack. Speaking of which, there's also a great isolated music track, too, so you can console yourself if you don't have the pricey vinyl release (and want the entire score, too). The sole extra here is the theatrical trailer, so definitely hang on to the DVD if you want all the bonus goodies, too.
