Ah, that was you? Yeah, you're right, nobody cares;)

I asked questions in 4 of the rounds and was disapointed on all fronts....

No Dellamorte Dellamore, Son of Hitler, Repulsion, Kicking and Screaming, Within the Woods, Wild Zero, Kairo, Weekend, among many others.

He said he would look into The Independent though.

The only things I asked were about Slugs and Bubba Ho-Tep.

And like he said, if anybody else mentions Slugs, they'll probably do it. Perhaps next we could get Night of the Lepus?

I met Michael at the Dawn reunion and he held an AB session later that day. He told us about some guy who e-mailed him and said that he wanted a better version of Slugs, and that all of the other AB movies sucked. He said a lot of people have e-mailed him about Slugs. I e-mailed him as a joke, pretending to be that Slugs guy. Now anytime I see him I'm going to as about a new Slugs DVD. I think it would be funny as hell if a SE/LE version of Slugs came out.

I haven't heard anything about who was going to put it out. I hope AB does because Mike said that he'd like to get Bruce to do a commentary as his Elvis character.

That is one of the worst chats I have ever read. Just a lot of "not at this time" type comments. Looks like AB has lost their title as DVD-king.

A lot of the stuff that was asked about won't come out from anyone, not just AB. It's not like AB doesn't try to get the rights to some of these movies. Felsher explained a lot of what goes on to us at the convention, and it's a lot more complicated than some people may think.

I'm just saying AB doesn't have that much coming out aside from DAWN, DAY, and HILLS HAVE EYES. I haven't bought one of their new discs since...jeez I dunno. It's been quite a while.

What about Prom Night? There's a chance of a SE at some point.;) Rhett will be jumping for joy over that one!:p
There's a few more that I'm interested in- SNDN, Escape 2000, and Dead Heat. But that's about it...

I just looked through my collection and realized I haven't bought an AB disc since The Wicker Man box, which honestly I bought for the packaging, and I ended up enjoying the movie anyway.

In fact I looked at my list of movies and realized how few of the Anchor Bay discs I have bought, let alone recently.

    Running Time ($6 Ebay)
    C.H.U.D. (trade)
    The Stuff (trade)
Repo Man Tin (movie and packaging and only cost me $20)
Evil Dead II Tin (Tin was $2 more than regular version when it came out at Buy.com)
AOD: LE ($18 way back when it came out)
    Tapeheads (trade)
    Deep Red (trade)
    Kentucky Fried Movie (trade)
    Hellbound: Hellraiser II ($8 used)
    Heathers: SE (gift)

In the early days of DVD, I really enjoyed the HTF chats with studio reps. But the past few chats have been snoozefests. Every question/response is the same old crap.

Question: Is "INSERT TITLE" coming out?
Answer: No plans at this time.

Question: When will you release "INSERT TITLE"?
Answer: That's not one of our titles.

Question: Any plans for "INSERT TITLE"?
    Answer: Perhaps in the future.

Question: Any update on your upcoming release of "INSERT TITLE"?
Answer: It's going to be great.

Actually I heard that they had mastering problems with INSERT TITLE and there was going to be a delay.

    THANK YOU!

Remember, these guys' hands are completely tied. Even if they're inches close to inking a deal to release a certain title, they won't say a word until it's official.

And it's like if a company is not releasing the titles people are asking about, they must be going under or something.

Why don't people ever ask questions about how difficult it is to be an indie producer trying to wrestle rights from the big studios? Or which people have been best to work with in terms of commentaries or stuff? Which discs are they particularly proud of?

In other words, why is the focus only on what they're GOING to do, not what they've done in the past?

Mike said that Campbell is a trip to work with.

I hope he doesn't mind me calling him Mike. Everyone else calls him Michael.
