Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale (2010)
You know, I must have posted that right after watching it because I don't remember. I checked out the wiki page and apparently something happens on Christmas Day.
I often watch movies and something happens during Christmas and I think, "maybe this should be a Christmas movie?" But then I can never remember
In fact, something I watched recently had a Christmas reference and now I'm gonna rack my brain to figure out what it was!!!
I thought it was funny when looking at Comcast's holiday horrors they had Child's Play listed. I believe Chucky was a birthday present, not a christmas gift, no?
Blood Beat (1983)
A Cadaver Christmas (2011)
Bloody Christmas (2012)
I think The Initiation (1984) takes place on Christmas. Not sure if it is ever verbally referenced, but there's a scene where the guy wanders through a Christmas display / store in the mall.
Also Mom (1991).
Sole Survivor (1983) takes place during Christmas, though only mildly hinted.
Horror Movies - around Christmas
Ghostbusters 2 (1989) I know it's not really horror but it's in the vicinity.
Jaws: The Revenge (1987)
The Mothman Prophecies (2002)
The Stepfather (2009)
Maniac Cop 2 (1990)
Home Sick (2007) watched it last night, there's some Christmas decorations and music.
Watched Scream Factory's Dark Angel blu-ray tonight, and that takes place on Christmas. So I guess you can add it, assuming you consider it to be a horror movie.
Also, The Fear features a Christmas amusement park. As does Sean Cunningham's The New Kids, but again, that's assuming you consider it a horror movie.
Here's another one:
Christmas with the Dead
...anybody seen it? Apparently it's from the same dude who wrote Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers.
Time to get this thread going again.
Krampus: The Christmas Devil (2013)
Silent Night, Bloody Night: The Homecoming (2013)
All Through the House (2015)

Dismembering Christmas (2015)
Krampus: The Reckoning (2015)
Better Watch Out (2016)
Good Tidings (2016)
Massacre on Aisle 12 (2016)
Red Christmas (2016)
Once Upon a Time at Christmas (2017)
A few other notables that seem to be missing from previous lists:
The Mystery of Edwin Drood (1935)
The Devil Doll (1936)
Whoever Slew Auntie Roo? (1971)
The Legend of Hell House (1973)*
Blood Beat (1982)
Deadly Games / Game Over (1989)
* - While there are no explicit references to Christmas in The Legend of Hell House, the events in the movie are dated and start about a week or two before Christmas and end in the early morning hours of Christmas Eve or Christmas day.
...and there is apparently a metric shit-ton of super-obscure / amateur films:
I watched Child's Play last night, and there is not one mention of Christmas throughout the entire movie. Chucky was a gift received on the kid's birthday. Other than it being cold outside with some snow on the ground, there's nothing pointing to Christmas there. No trees, no holiday shopping. I didn't notice any date references either.
Since they're flavorful enough killer toys should count. Although perhaps these should get their own category for anyone looking specifically for holiday jeers.
I'm working my way through the Puppet Master series right now and they're not really even toys but I felt the mood was right. I even enjoyed PM3 more when I'm watching it with the Christmas tree all light up next to me screen. And that was one years ago I hated. Now I'm half way to Puppet Master vs. Demonic Toys which is set during Christmas.
I watched Elves early this month and that was a hoot. I don't read plot descriptions so I didn't even know Dan Haggerty was in it and he's great in a "let's shoot this shit" kinda way. Plus he's in it a lot; not just a cameo. I'm glad I didn't read even the slug lines on this because half the fun it how this unravels. Would make a great double feature with Feeders 2. Feeders is just about the only thing that can make Elves look good in comparison.
Christmas Evil has quickly become my reason for the season. I like how it builds and its real world take on an absurd situation. It's a shame this is so underrated even today.
I'm not really into metal these days, but this song/video is fucking sweet. Enjoy.
