Nobody's even mentioned the fact that Vincent Price was in Dead Heat - that alone should've earned the film at least a few more fans . Thank goodness I don't get hung up on things like actors, good or bad. Just like when people dismiss a movie because they thought the ending was underwhelming, I find people who dismiss movies based on someone's acting ability are just missing the picture (no pun intended). It's the journey that matters (to me , at least).
Haha. I guess I hot hit on the head then because I really like it. I totally avoided it as a kid back in the 80's as the very concept of that movie sounded terrible to me also. I only saw this movie for the first, and already a second time in the past couple of years as it is rather exceptional. As far as Piscipo is concerned, he is fine as long as he plays himself. It is not like he tries to do Shakespeare or anything. The movie just somehow really works for me, anyway. Sorry you could not get anything out of it.
Same here, a lot of people hate it but it's always been a favorite of mine since I was a kid. I had £2 in skull rewards to use on it anyway.
Thanks for the info Zbinks. You are an absolute wealth of valuable information on this site. It is really appreciated.
There doesn't seem to be a generic 88 Films thread so I'll post this here. Not sure if anyone was aware but 88 Films is releasing Vampire Journals this month. I've not seen the film myself but keep hearing it's pretty good. Does anyone know if 88 Films plans to release the 4th Subspecies movie on bluray? https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vampire-Jo...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=B9ZSKAHYKA6B5NK30WDG
I haven't seen this either but that is a pretty cheesy cover. It wouldn't be so bad if someone hadn't smeared that red lipstick all over the picture.
There almost surely will be a reversible cover on it. I think basically every 88 Films release of Full Moon titles that used a newer artwork cover has a reversible cover with the original artwork on the other side.
Has anyone seen Prozzie (aka Olivia) yet? This was a blind-buy for me, just got it in the mail. Not sure when I'll get around to watching it, but it's region free. Should have Devonsville Terror next week.
I bought Prozzie but haven't watched it yet. Same director and star from Boogey Man and you gotta love the one sheet poster.
I've watched Prozzie bit of an oddity. Thought it was crap and unevenly paced no where near as good as Boogey Man.
