I would definitely wait on some reviews on these first. They've become much better recently, but StudioCanal has a rather checked transfer history.

Their 4K transfers have so far been excellent, incl Deer Hunter that looks amazing. So I have high hopes about the Carpenter restorations :)

    Yeah I already preordered these...

Halloween, Christine, The Fog, They Live, Escape From New York and Prince of Darkness all coming out this fall? I might actually go 4K now. I’m not even kidding these movies might be what does it for me.

4K Tv's and players are certainly cheap enough now. Especially if you have or want an Xbox One.

Yeah I’ve been looking at Best Buy and I’m thinking of getting a 50”. They’re like $499 for a Samsung, I’m glad I waited for the price to come down. I could prob get $150-200 for my current 42” 1080p it’s only like 4 years old.

Looks like I’m going 4K this fall.

I could prob get a good amount for my Scream Factory CE’s of Prince of Darkness, Escape From New York, The Fog and They Live. They all have slipcovers. No need to keep them with these remastered in 4K (They Live especially - one of the ugliest blu-rays I have).

Be sure that it has HDR/Dolby Vision support, since that is the most impressive upgrade with UHD :)
