I had a fun thread last year where everyone shared what DVD films we watched each day prior to Halloween. Think of this as Part 2. I'll start: October 1st: "Giant From the Unkown", "Monster From Green Hell" (both great Image DVDs!), "Return of the Vampire" (excellent Bela Lugosi film!!), "Dead Alive". **next!**
October 1: Night Visitor Scary Movie 3.5 Unrated and: The Wickeds takes place on Halloween and is about a group of friends who want to paaaarty in an old house in the middle of nowhere. Adult film star Ron Jeremy shows up followed by a horde of Zombies ... and a few Vampire/Zombie hybrids ... and one or two Ghosts as well. DTV Night Of The Living Dead rip off with some decent gore and Zombie effects. The rest is more or less entertaining/painful cheese. Two boobs, two Female Zombie boobs, one very long sex scene, multiple beheadings, blood squirting and human flesh munching. Favorite line: "I can't believe you made love in a Haunted House!"
Oct.1st.: Ring Two-Wish I could say my Halloween marathon is off with a bang but this film really was a snoozefest. Last night was Psycho III which was'nt stellar but still better than Ring Two. The coming weeks show promise with Amityville Horror(2005), High Tension, House Of Wax and Land Of The Dead coming my way, not to mention Batman Begins.
October 1st (will be): Dead and Breakfast i'm going to try and watch as many horror movies as possible this month, but i don't see it happening with midterms and papers all happening at around the same time. i might have to make up for it by bringing some dvds to school and watching them in the MRC while studying.
Since I missed my cinema showing of "Land of the Dead", I'm at home sneaking in a viewing of "Funeral Home" before I go out for some pints. I love this film (the old Paragon tape) and it's deliciously made-for-TV feel. Kudos to Lesleh Donaldson - she's a perfect innocent heroine.
Today was my day to do the remakes. I watched Carpenter's The Thing, Tom Savini's NOTLD remake, and the Dawn remake. I threw in Creepshow just for good measure and because it has a nice Halloween like atmosphere.
October 1st: Night Vistor A very weak start to the horror festivities. Let's hope I make wiser choices the rest of the month.
October 1st = First time I'd ever seen it I was relunctant to watch it because I thought I'd seen it years ago and hated it but that must have been a sequel because I loved this.
October 1st: Cry Wolf has anyone seen this? October 2nd: Scream love a classic slasher October 3rd Scream 2 : Good follow up to the original and proving that sequels don't suck
I'm somewhat baffled by this statement It's not like it's Halloween... or Slumber Party Massacre! :nervous: :sperm:
October 1st: 1. Friday The 13th Part 6: Jason Lives 4.2/10 2. Friday The 13th Part 7: The New Blood 4.5/10 3. Friday The 13th Part 8: Jason Takes Manhattan 2.7/10
October 2: White Zombie Fucking great film with all sorts of awesome visuals and of course, Bela Lugosi. Most definitely the best 85 cents I've ever spent.
